Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm has a very soft, smooth texture. It spreads on to the skin smoothly and melts the makeup off your skin effortlessly. It has to be the smoothest cleansing balm I have tried and I have tried quite a lot.
I mean, I am amazed by the solid and smooth texture. I am not sure if you can see the texture in this picture.
The best way that I can think to describe it is, it feels like very whipped coconut oil. Although, there is no coconut oil in this product.
It is a solid and the heat from you finger just warms it up to a liquid on your skin almost immediately.
After it melts the makeup off your skin. Add a tiny bit of water and this balm turns to a milky, thin cleanser that washes off without any residue.
I have a bit of dry skin in the winter and this cleansing balm is not drying on the skin at all and my skin actually looks moisturized after I rinse it off.
I also have had issues with cleansing balms around my eyes, but I have had no problem with this Cleansing Balm around my eyes or on my skin. Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm works very well on my sensitive skin. It doesn’t have a fragrance either. So, if you are sensitive to fragrance, you have no worries. I would say it is probably great for all skin types.
The oils in this product are a derivative of palm oil, safflower oil and Vitamin E oil. The ingredients list is small and contains a mild cleanser found in most cosmetics. Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm is also paraben free.
Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm is 3.8 oz and at Ulta, it is $29.50. It around $7.76 per oz. It isn’t a bad price for a great cleansing balm that works well on sensitive skin without any irritation at all.
